Basics
Guizhou is home to dozens of groups of ethnic minorities. One of the biggest is the Miao ethnic minority. About 3.6 million people, half of China's Miao people live in Guizhou. With a history of over 4,000 years, the Miao one of the oldest of the Chinese minorities. The Miao minority can be found not only in Guizhou, but also in Hainan, Hubei, Sichuan, Gansu, Guizhou, Qinghai, Hunan, Guangdong, Yunnan, Guangxi and.

Lifestyle
Living in the first placeMountain regions, the Miao people live and livestock farming. The Miao are famous for their hospitality and community spirit. Families will work on each other's farms at harvest or planting seasons, and while the construction work, half the village show to help in the project. The Miao people have different dialects and to not have a written language 1950th Before the history, traditions and customs passed on through song andDance. There are several sub-groups in the Miao minority. You are permitted for their unique clothing. In subgroups living in Guizhou the Black Miao, Big Flowery Miao, Small Flowery Miao Miao and White.

The Miao women wear a blouse or long coat, long pantswith at least one skirt, wide belt, embroidered shoes, and various pieces of silver attached to the clothing.

Why Do I Need a Survival Seed Bank?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

A seed bank survival is what it sounds like: a bank, or savings account, from seeds stored away for use when survival tactics are needed. are the seeds in a seed bank to survive it for a rainy day (or worse!) Normally, a personal seed bank is of a few dozen different types exist as seeds heirloom that knows a person will grow well in their environment. It makes no sense, with melon seeds if you say, we live in Greenland!

These seeds are stored in a manner(Typically, in cool, dry conditions and vacuum), so that their life expectancy as long as possible and its viability is protected. something happened when should is whether a man-made disaster (nuclear war) or a natural disaster (earthquake, meteorites, etc.), the seeds that have been stored safely (hopefully) provide us will be available for planting and after the disaster and our animals to provide them with food.

Can you imagine the state we would be if all of a sudden, all the cultures we haveare currently growing in America have been destroyed? Or what if a strong earthquake took our roads and trucks were not able to bring food to us? What if our satellite and radio communications were disrupted - how would we deny that we help, food, water, say, medical assistance needed?

Now I realize I am a bit more extreme than here, but I try to convey just the point. And the truth is, it seems to me and my other "preppers" are not the only ones who think that a seed survivalBank is a good idea. To date there are nearly 1,500 seed banks owned and operated by organizations and governments around the world - that no private individual sperm banks! The number of personal seed bank is probably in the millions.

The Svalbard Seed Vault, also known as the Doomsday Seed Vault is definitely the largest and probably know sperm bank. It is located in Norway, holds more than 500,000 different types of seeds, and ran from the Norwegian government with the support ofthe Bill Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller family. For more information click here.

On balance, this is regardless of whether you just want to be a little more careful, or you're convinced that the end of the world is coming soon, it does not hurt to have a back-up plan. Whether you're saving your own seeds or buy a kind of survival kit Seed Bank, I would recommend taking some kind of action - just to be safe!

Routes & Trains in the United States of America

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Before the routes across America, let's you take a look at what to expect ..

Now allow me to ask you a question.

Why children wave trains?

Movies, Legends, scandals, stories and songs are among those who have created a sense of adventure to travel by train. And that's the adventurous side of us. So children wave trains. You have probably the same as a child.

I remember doing it but not with trains or buses, airplanes.

Cross the Mississippi.Call in Dodge City. View the oxen on the Kansas Plains. Ride beside the Pacific or Atlantic. Discover the Rockies. Watch a movie. Go to the bar for a drink. Cross deserts and rivers, and you can do all this by train.

Also, know that you stretch your legs, take a walk around the train forward or back. Enjoy a meal. A nap. Read a book and spend time with your children. Kids love trains. Think about that one.

Last night 3rd December 2006, I wasReturn from France on Euro Star. I noticed a family, mom dad five children in various age groups. The oldest with headphones on, but not in the least bit bothered about the two sisters asks him. They were either writing, drawing, talking to mom or dad.

Mom dishing the food organized and very good. Dad holds the baby and fed him bits. And that was coming to the end of a 5-hour drive. How much experience do they have?

We all know, travel broadens the mind.

Amtrak is knownbe very helpful. Pamper your companions no end. They have spacious reclining seats in air cars that have even observation domes.

Their whole trip is a splendid picture. Framed in your memory. I know I can still remember my travels across America know so many years later and they will never leave me.

I supported train travel for years and years.

It's fun.

It is an adventure.

His learning.

It is an experience.

Youwill not suffer from jet lag.

It is a holiday on his own. Spend a day here and there. How you choose.

Here's more. There is a lot less pollution from trains, especially from aircraft

On a more somber note. I hope that any of you reading this, realize that a bad experience with other forms of travel, by reading the texts are on my website now to know .......

You can travel the world without a plane

Let the train take the strain.

Ancient Meteor Impact May Hold Key to Uranium Exploration Success at Cluff

Image : http://www.flickr.com

"I look at about 100 different projects a year, most of which go into the round filing cabinet on my floor," said Tony Harvey, the senior technical advisor to ESO Uranium (TSX: ESO), and formerly a senior manager of Wright Engineers-Fluor Daniels, which was involved with the design and construction of 14 mines worldwide. Harvey quickly ticked off what is necessary to attract his eye, "I need to see history. I need to see signposts before I give it any credence." So why is he advising little-known ESO Uranium, after a long, prolific career?

"I believe this one has a huge amount of history," Harvey argued. "Not only have you got the Cluff Lake mine, which already confirms the presence of uranium, but you have got the Shea Creek drilling intercepts which validate it. We have the conductors streaming onto our property. We have the boulders, which is also another sign post." The boulders, of which Tony Harvey refers, are the six uranium-mineralized boulders near the ESO Uranium project on the company's Cluff property. Near those boulders, a promising drill hole from the 1970s indicated 0.85% U3O8 over 2.3 meters. It was all but forgotten until the recent explosion of exploration activity in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin, an area which has helped Cameco (NYSE: CCJ) grow into a company with a market capitalization of nearly $12 billion.

What ESO Uranium's geological team will be looking for at the company's Cluff property are Cluff Lake style uranium deposits in basement rocks with the Carswell structure close to the unconformity with sandstones of the Athabasca group. That was allegedly created by the meteor's impact.

Drilling in the Meteor's Wake

"The value of the ore extracted at the Cluff mine, in today's terms, would be equivalent to $2.6 billion," explained Harvey. "That's how much was extracted at the Cluff mine." The company's vice president of exploration, Benjamin Ainsworth, who is both a senior geologist and a mining engineer, helped explain the Cluff structure. "A meteorite probably impacted at this location and with sufficient force to break right through the layers of Athabasca sandstone on the surface. On rebound, basement rocks got lifted back up. In bouncing back out, it also lifted up the surrounding Athabasca rocks and tipped them up, if you can imagine, like an opening flower." As a result, the basement got lifted up to the surface and made it easier to find and mine the uranium at Cluff. Ainsworth added, "The significance of that for me and our group is that shows very high grade uranium deposits in the western side of Athabasca."

Drilling a property helps the geological team better understand the area. Since the Cluff property was mined out, two decades ago, additional scientific study has opened up new doors. At the 67th Annual Meteoritical Society Meeting, University of Quebec Earth Science professors presented a paper entitled, "A Re-Evaluation of the Size of the Carswell Astrobleme." The Montreal scientists concluded in the 2004 annual conference held in Brazil, "The Carswell impact structure is therefore older and larger than previously estimated... the central uplift considered to be under the annular dolomitic unit would suggest a crater size in the basement of 118 to 125 kilometers wide." While some believe the meteor hit about 478 million years ago, recent evidence suggests it may have been closer to 1.8 billion years ago.

Ainsworth warned there is a lot of risk in drilling for uranium deposits. "The geometry of these things is damn small." ESO president Jonathan George pointed out that the world's richest uranium deposit, McArthur River, hosting about 400 million pounds of uranium, had half of its deposit in an area about half the size of a football field. "I think that's mind boggling," he said, "that a $7 billion project would be on an area that small."

The error of Man vs. Wild

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Most people have seen at one time or another of the popular Discovery Channel Man vs. Wild TV program. Bear Grylls is the hardened adventurer, once with the Special Air Service of the British Army, where he served instructions, as in the field of survival expert. Among his experiences he catalogs climb Mount Everest, a journey across the North Atlantic during the winter in nothing but a small, open boat and climbing a Himalayan peak, which was previouslydescribed by Sir Edmund Hillary to climb as unattainable. Bear has done in many situations and many heroic deeds, most of us would have to overcome in our efforts to have been involved.

In each of his TV show illustrates episodes Bear to survive as many destinations in wilderness, where can the common man or woman involved in a dangerous situation. During his 30-minute show, he describes different ways to survive these situations, as he makes his way back into the civilizedWorld. Past results have shown the Bear escape some quicksand death in the desert of Moab, views from him on his way to navigate a dangerous jungle river in Costa Rica, successfully crossing ravines, while trekking over the Alps and even surviving shark-infested waters State of Hawaii.

We must keep in mind that support Bear Grylls and his crew possible life if they are involved in this potentially life-threatening situations to receive. Should develop a problemHelicopter is close to the injured person to the nearest medical facilities instead. This is a luxury that have the person not involved in a real situation to survive.

A few months ago, when I saw Bear's TV show, I discovered several breakdowns and errors in his logic. I realized that Man vs. Wild is just a show for entertainment created and shown the different techniques of survival should never be taken seriously as sound and relied on the advice of survival.

Duringa show of Bear was shown parachuting down in Siberia during the soil temperatures approached 20 degrees mark. He was allegedly landed hundreds of miles from any kind of city and village. After he had gone only half an hour he suddenly a cave, he could stay in to keep warm. At the entrance of the cave was discovered Bear a dead deer he had declared that shot. Now the illusion we have here is a man of the hundreds of miles from civilization with a dead deer next to him isthat he was alleged Digitalcameras.shoptoday.us" title="shopping Digitalcameras.shoptoday.us" title="shopping digital cameras">Digital Cameras">Shooting. No person was shot in the area, but this dead deer. In addition, the deer was still warm when he said that he got away on the skin of her before the deer was frozen.

Later in the show that he bravely jumped into a frozen lake in the vicinity during these temperatures were hovering around the -20 degree mark with no clothes on. His intention was to show how scary it could be under the ice. If anyone has a trick, such as Bear did when they were on their own prefervery likely that they will die quickly. Finally, I would recommend that viewers take many of his deeds with a grain of salt and carefully research each of his techniques.

Meteor Impact Catastrophe - The truth about the danger we face

Image : http://www.flickr.com

It is to play down the politics of the governments are trying the real dangers to public safety in order to avoid mass panic. While of course it is not the intent of the writer, the reader be frightened, but we need the facts about the risks we see are facing, as this is the only way to get sufficient public awareness that the government could print to take to increase Pro - by activity.

We are often told that the consequences which could result in a global catastrophe, is restricted to those that areObjects, at least 1 km in diameter. We are told that these effects occur only once in about two million years ago, and that as a result we do not really need to take care of them.

What we are not told that the objects of greatest danger for us any offers in the 1km-class, but meteorites a few meters to hundreds of meters in diameter, which are much smaller than the kilometer scale asteroids being closely monitored by the Space Guard Survey. The effects of this class ofObjects is highly unpleasant, and regardless of whether the action will occur as "Air Burst" or can be an actual impact with the surface of the earth the possible consequence of the local population if not in fact something close to a devastating global disaster. What makes the existence of this class of objects is most worrisome that they represent, although expected, the category of potential threat, they most likely represent the class of objects, of which we know almost nothingabout.

Objects in the 5-10 foot range impact on the earth almost every year with as much energy as the Hiroshima atomic bomb explosive (ie, 15 kilotons of TNT). However, these are just explode in the upper atmosphere and evaporate most of the solids. Objects in the range of 50 meters are expected to earth once every thousand years, producing explosions equal to 10 megatons of TNT (several times the Hiroshima bomb) strikes. Such an effect actually happened in Siberia on June30, 1908, literally flattening more than one thousand square kilometers of forest. The region in Siberia was, fortunately, a desolate area. Would it kill happened on a residential area close to a million people would immediately have been to. The estimated rate of impact with objects of this class is just too high for comfort. It could happen at any time, even if you read these words. The effect would be not just a global catastrophe, but for the local region through which it impacts it wouldare the same as Armageddon. And Uncle Sam can not help it when it is actually down on you at this moment because they are too small to be detected by the telescopes currently in use. It is estimated that the impact by an object in the range 10-50 meters in this century, almost certainly is. The only hope that we are to avert a nuclear catastrophe scale that we develop to either the technology or to pray that, as the Siberian incident will occur, the effects of preventingover a barren area.

To drive home the urgency of the situation that we might miss some of the show close, we have had in recent times:

On 10 August 1972, a meteor literally roamed the earth over 57 kilometers of the earth. It was seen by many people to the north over the Rocky Mountains in Canada. The meteor was estimated diameter of about 8 meters. A somewhat larger meteorites in the earth's atmosphere at an angle of 45 degrees could have causedmuch as a 5 kiloton blast at sufficiently low level to cause losses.

On 23 March 1998, an Apollo asteroid 300 meters from the ground six hours (that is, it was the point where the earth had already missed six hours), had influence on the asteroid, it would be a huge explosion created the largest human history have a thousand once more the biggest ever nuclear bomb exploded. What is most unnerving about this incident is that scientists not be able to calculate, werePrecision, how closely it happen on the ground. We did not know whether it was on the earth after it missed actually impact.

On 6 June 2002, an object collided with an estimated diameter of 10 meters with the earth over the Mediterranean Seas between Greece and Libya. The object exploded in the air, releasing energy equal to 26 kilotons of TNT (more than one and a half times per class Hiroshima bomb.

On 18 March 2004, the next a catastrophic impactoccurred when a 30-meter asteroid, the Earth only 42,600 km (only about one tenth of the distance of Earth to the moon!) It was later estimated by scientists that such a near miss occur once every two years have missed. Note that a 30 meter asteroid would have caused an explosion on the ground several times the Hiroshima bomb class have the atomic bomb, which catastrophic devastation to human populations, if the effects were occurring up to, or near a largeCity.

On 5 October 2008, a small near-Earth asteroid collided with Earth, but the effect occurred over an area sparsely populated in the Sudan and very little known about what really happened.

On 13 January 2010, a near-Earth asteroid passed about 122 000 km. It was about 15 meters. Would it be burdened with the earth's atmosphere was an air burst weapon is approximately 80 kilotons (the Hiroshima weapon causes have been a 18-kiloton weapon)

The findings from the longHistory of near misses clearly show that our goals in a game are deadly cosmic gallery of chance. We are a sufficiently high risk to the concerns exposed. to force the public consciousness has awakened governments of the leading nations to take action before the inevitable occurs.

A diamond is a tetrahedral carbon crystal in the earth under the right conditions, the chemicals become, temperature and pressure. Diamonds are of course, has found in igneous rock near the surface in volcanic chimneys. Very small diamonds are formed by meteor impacts growth crystal, pressure to create the right conditions of heat and almost instantaneous.

A diamond is a tetrahedral carbon Chatham-crystal grown in a controlled environment under the rightConditions for the chemical, temperature and pressure. In other words, a Chatham Diamond not just as a diamond - it is a diamond - with the same hardness, chemical composition and crystal structure as each diamond from the earth is dug.

Carroll F. Chatham began growing gem-quality emerald crystals in his laboratory in 1938 from a "seed" of naturally occurring emerald. After about 65 years of research and testing of the Chatham Company is now able to grow gem-quality diamondsCrystals with the same chemical, physical and optical properties as diamonds mined. Chatham is not the only producer of synthetic diamonds, though one of the few companies able to produce gem-quality diamonds. Most synthetic diamonds are used in industrial and electronics applications.

Chatham A diamond has the same hardness (10), specific gravity (3.5), refractive index (2.4), dispersion (0.044) and melting point (3820 kelvin) as mined diamonds. Chatham diamonds are grownor 1.5 to 1 carat in about 14 months. They are ground and polished the same way as any other diamond gemstone.

The geographical origin of the diamonds mined can be determined by the study of inclusions and trapped crystal imperfections, the peculiar Brazilian or African diamonds say. Chatham diamonds also have a crystalline signature and are in the same way as mined diamonds distinguished, and the other in any way.

What distinguishes a Chatham most diamonds mined from itsCounterpart is that the Chatham diamonds on the market without brought the same social, political, and economic burdens. As a result of Chatham Diamonds can be bought for less money.
